Bhutan is the world’s only Vajrayana Buddhist kingdom. This World Peace Prayer Ceremony was therefore profoundly unique and unlike ordinary prayer gatherings. Rather than being organized by a single Buddhist school or individual organization, the ceremony was initiated at the national level by Bhutan itself, bringing together Buddhist leaders, lineage holders, spiritual masters, and teachers from various traditions across the world to collectively pray for global peace. For this reason, the event was especially rare, auspicious, and extraordinary.

During the 2025 Bhutan Global Peace Prayer Ceremony, the Nyingma Prayer Assembly held on November 8 was presided over by Gangteng Tulku Rinpoche. The three Umzes of Gangteng Monastery led the chanting in succession, while nearly one hundred thousand monastics and devotees joined together in harmonious prayer. The entire ceremony was majestic, solemn, and filled with auspicious blessings.

On this sacred occasion, the Asian disciples of Yeshe Khorlo under the guidance of Gangteng Rinpoche had the great fortune to make an offering of USD $20,000 to the Grand Prayer Ceremony and to sponsor offerings for the monastic sangha. This was an exceptionally precious and auspicious opportunity to accumulate merit and establish profound Dharma connections.

May all devotees who participated in these offerings to the Sangha and the prayer ceremony be blessed with joy, auspiciousness, and Dharma happiness. Through this collective aspiration of compassion and virtue, may peace, harmony, and genuine happiness arise throughout the world.
