July 2025 Annual Guru Rinpoche Hundred Million Recitation Accomplishment Ceremony at Gangteng Monastery
The Extremely Secret Accomplishment Practice of Guru Rinpoche
The Monkey Month and Monkey Day mark the sacred birth anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava. In order to commemorate and express gratitude to Guru Rinpoche, Gangteng Monastery held the five-day “Annual One Hundred Million Guru Rinpoche Accumulation Accomplishment Ceremony — The Extremely Secret Guru Rinpoche Accomplishment Practice” from the 6th to the 10th day of the fifth Bhutanese lunar month (corresponding to July 1–5).
Note: The Monkey Day falls on the 10th day of the fifth Bhutanese lunar month and is celebrated as the sacred anniversary of Guru Rinpoche’s birth.
To allow devotees to accumulate merit and virtuous causes, Yeshe Khorlo Taiwan opened opportunities for practitioners to participate in and support this rare annual Dharma gathering. The ceremony was successfully concluded on the 10th day of the fifth Bhutanese lunar month.
